Azure IoT Edge邊緣運算服務可將IoT的雲端分析、應用移到邊緣裝置。透過開源的Azure IoT Edge，企業可以更彈性開發邊緣應用。為了解決Azure IoT Edge大量部署的安全問題，Azure IoT Edge深入整合了Device Provisioning Service，能夠安全地配置數萬個裝置，另有可用來保護邊緣裝置及其元件的Azure IoT Edge安全管理員，至於自動裝置管理（Automatic Device Management，ADM）則可依據裝置的元資料將IoT Edge模組大規模部署至裝置上。
